Josh Redd, DC, MS, DABFM, DAAIM, is a chiropractic physician and the founder and owner of RedRiver Health and Wellness, which currently operates seven functional medicine clinics across the western United States and focuses on challenging autoimmune, neurological and endocrine disorders.
Between all seven clinics, his practice sees hundreds of patients a day from across the country and around the world. This allows Dr. Redd to quickly identify patterns and trends among his patient population, as well as which evidence-based clinical strategies are the most successful in managing autoimmunity.
Dr. Redd’s experience in working with a large patient population led him to begin a Covid-19 study in his area to investigate a number of findings using the Abbott Architect Assay, which received Emergency Use Authorization by the FDA. The data from that study is on track to be compiled into a preliminary report for the public and the state’s health department, and then published as a retrospective study.
Dr. Redd earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from Parker University and has a Masters in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine. He is in the #1 ranked public health program in the country at Johns Hopkins with an emphasis on molecular microbiology and immunology. He has a Diplomate in Functional Medicine from the American Board of Functional Medicine, and a Diplomate in Integrative Medicine from the American Association of Integrative Medicine.
Dr. Redd is the author of the Amazon bestselling book The Truth About Low Thyroid. He was co-host on ABC’s The Younger You. His colon health and brain health episodes were both nominated for Emmys.
Dr. Redd delivers post-graduate lectures to health care professionals around the country on functional medicine topics such as neuroendocrine immunology, gastrointestinal disorders, gluten sensitivity and celiac disease, autoimmune management, functional blood chemistry, and clinical strategies for hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s.
Dr. Redd trains closely with Dr. Datis Kharrazian, PhD, DHSc, DC, MS, MMSc, FACN, Harvard Medical School Research Fellow and Dr. Aristo Vojdani, PhD, MSc and credits them for much of his success throughout the last 10 years as a functional medicine practitioner.
