Joshua J. Redd, DC, MS, DABFM, DAAIM is highly trained and experienced in managing the care of patients with thyroid disorders, Hashimoto’s disease, and other autoimmune conditions. To identify and address the root cause of his patients’ challenging immune, endocrine, and neurological disorders, Dr. Redd uses evidence-based functional medicine techniques that allow him to help his patients achieve and maintain optimal health. By working in conjunction with his patients’ primary care physicians and endocrinologists, Dr. Redd is able to help domestic and international patients alike who come to RedRiver Health and Wellness Center seeking help and guidance. Dr. Redd has a BS in Health and Wellness and a BS in Anatomy, and he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from Parker University. Dr. Redd has certifications from Bridgeport University in the following areas: Mastering Functional Blood Chemistry, Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis, Mastering the Thyroid, and Mastering Brain Chemistry. He has also received certifications from the American Board of Functional Medicine in the following areas: Functional Immunology, Functional Gastroenterology and Functional Medicine. Dr. Redd has a Diplomate in Functional Medicine from the American Board of Functional Medicine, and a certification and Diplomate in Integrative Medicine from the American Association of Integrative Medicine. He has a Masters in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine from the University of Western States. In 2010, Dr. Redd was responsible for hiring the medical staff for the Utah Blaze arena football team, and in 2012 he was selected to be on a panel of doctors for the First Lady of Utah’s Conference. He is a board member for the B-Strong Foundation and is also a health consultant for ABC4. Dr. Redd is a co-host on ABC’s The Younger You, and his colon health episode was nominated for an Emmy in 2014. Dr. Redd is cited in Dr. Datis Kharrazian’s book, Why Isn't My Brain Working?: A Revolutionary Understanding of Brain Decline and Effective Strategies to Recover Your Brain's Health. Dr.Dr. Redd is an Amazon #1 Best Selling Author for his book  The Truth About Low Thyroid - Stories of Hope and Healing for Those Suffering with Hashimoto's Low Thyroid Disease. Dr. Redd has spoken at many venues across the nation, teaching patients how to better manage their conditions with nutrition, diet, and lifestyle modifications. He travels across the country lecturing on the following topics: The Neuroendocrine Immunology of Exercise, Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth, Gluten Sensitivity and Celiac Disease, The Gluten-Leaky Gut-Autoimmune Connection, Functional Blood Chemistry, and Mastering the Thyroid. For the past four years, Dr. Redd has been teaching a weekly religious studies group at the State Prison in the Women’s section. RedRiver chiropractic physicians are great advocates for prescribing physicians and endocrinologists. In fact, many of our patients see their prescribing physician(s) more frequently while under our care than they would otherwise. Our goal is not to replace our patients’ primary care physicians and specialists, but to complement their care by providing patients with nutrition, diet, lifestyle and educational support and strategies. This way, patients can learn to manage their symptoms more efficiently. We have developed rewarding relationships with many prescribing physicians across the country, and we strive to continue to building relationships with MDs, DOs, NPs, and NMDs. When health professionals can work together for the benefit of the patient’s health, it becomes a win/win situation for the one who matters most—the patient.
